On Problem Solving...
"What I enjoy most about engineering is problem solving, and making things more efficient and/or automating tasks. This has included helping colleagues minimize repetitive tasks by building workbooks and scripts. One notable example was writing a simulation script to validate the statistical validity of a vendor audit."
On becoming a Civil Engineer...
"I don't think anyone puts in the effort to become an engineer without intention. I wanted to be a part of the changes I saw around me, to have a stable and fulfilling job, and a career that offered a variety of opportunities. Civil engineering isn't a bad way to do it."
