K - 12 Outreach

ASCE Seattle YMF visits classrooms/students all over the greater Seattle area, advocating the importance of math, science and engineering in the future of our communities.

We provide classrooms with innovative programs and resources, and instruct engineers, educators, and parents on ways to reach out to kids, mentor, educate and much more! The planned presentations and projects are catered to each classroom and age range of students. Past activities have included (but are not limited to) panel Q&A sessions, slideshow presentations on topics such as "What is a Civil Engineer?", stormwater simulation models, Career Day representatives, and many more!

We are more than happy to work with local schools and educators to personalize the event to meet your learning objectives.

Start a Civil Engr. Club!

Interested in engineering and want to get involved? Then start a Civil Engineering Club at your high school! The goal of CE clubs is to get high school students interested and exposure to civil engineering through interactions with practicing engineers. There is also the opportunity to compete in the annual national contest and put your new engineering skills to the test and learn from other students!
