Amy Moore

Amy graduated from University of Washington in 2018 with a focus in construction engineering.

Amy got involved with ASCE through concrete canoe. Since then, she has held various roles, with her most current role as the Popsicle Stick Bridge Chair. She has also attended many ASCE conferences.

If she's not on the construction site, or doing some bridge related thing, you can find Amy hiking outdoors. In 2019, she logged 6 backpacking trips, 4 national parks, and 9 states!

On our role as civil engineers...

"I love helping society in ways people never think about. People do not tend to think about how their water gets to the tap, how bridges are built or why they are where they are - people just tend to complain about construction. Working for a society who does not always appreciate the hard work that it takes to provide infrastructure is sometimes frustrating. However, it's always fulfilling when you overcome the challenges."

On ASCE...

"ASCE is an amazing professional development organization. I have learned and continue to learn soft skills - leadership, public speaking, time management, etc. It is also so much more than that. ASCE is a great way to connect with people both in the area and around the country who share the same passions as us - we are infrastructure nerds and want to make society continually operate more optimally and efficiently!"
