Technology Access Foundation (TAF) Volunteer Opportunity
TAF is looking for 19 Volunteers to offer feedback for the students projects! Students are
answering the question, How can we use our robust understanding of civilization and
human needs to engineer a society that ensures human survival? Their task is to create
a new civilization that showcases how humans have survived with a multidisciplinary
approach.
When: Wednesday, January 20, 9:30 am to 10:30 am *This is a virtual event*
Where: On Microsoft‘ Teams’ with students of Washington Middle School i n Seattle.
Who: Sixth graders looking for feedback on their group projects.
What: Small groups of students will be presenting the results of their multidisciplinary
project, answering the question, “How can we use our robust understandings of
civilization and human needs to engineer a society that ensures human survival?” Each
group will present for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of input from you and 2-3 other
volunteers.
Why: This is a great opportunity to help students practice addressing questions and
back up their assertions and plans by evidence as well as helping our future generation
of problem solvers expand their critical thinking.
