Garret Anderson

I work on the geotechnical construction side of things as Project Engineer for Keller North America. Most of my time at work is spent out in the dirt on project sites, which is great! I am one of the Networking Chairs for Seattle YMF. On top of work, I am also pursuing an online master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from UIUC. When the weekend hits I like spending time with friends and hitting the bouldering gym.

On the Benefits of joining ASCE…

“The greatest benefit has been meeting a bunch of new people. We have a good assortment of different types of engineers on the board so it's always great to talk about what everyone has going on. On top of that, being able to meet and network with new people in the industry at the events we put together is my favorite part. “

On the direction of the civil engineering field…

“I like seeing the importance of public transit increasing. For me, living close to a light rail station has been something new and is turning out to be really awesome. The accessibility to sports games and busy parts of the city opens up a lot of fun opportunities.”
