Sports and Rec Co-chair
Tommy Tang is a structural engineer working for COWI. He has contributed his expertise to both local and international projects, specializing in bridge and marine engineering designs. A proud Seattle native, Tommy grew up in Rainier Beach and completed his master's degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Washington.
During his undergraduate studies, he was an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), where he led the UW design team for the ASCE Steel Bridge competition, an enriching experience that saw the team compete at the national level. After a brief hiatus, Tommy has returned to the ASCE and is anticipating contributing to the Society once more.
During his off-hours, Tommy embraces solitude, often delving deep into his own thoughts. However, he also has a vibrant appreciation for various leisure activities. Whether it's swimming, catching the latest TV shows, gaming, exploring the outdoors or enjoying music, Tommy possesses a broad range of interests and hobbies. He's easily entertained and eager to explore new experiences and adventures!
