Seger Smith
Eastside Networking Chair
Seger is the Eastside Networking Chair for the ASCE Seattle Younger Member Forum (YMF). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington State University in Fall 2024, where he began his involvement with ASCE through roles in the WSU Student Chapter. Throughout his program, he supported key roles in revitalizing record keeping, outreach to sponsors and national society, and strengthening student-industry connections through technical tours and presentations.
Seger is a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training at HDR in Bellevue, WA. Born in Olympia, WA, he is passionate about pump hydraulics, surface hydrology, wastewater treatment, and contributing to many local and distant projects. He looks forward to attending future ASCE conferences and continuing his involvement and support with the Seattle ASCE YMF.
In his personal time, Seger enjoys skiing and backpacking, playing in local symphony orchestras, weight training, and spending quality time with family and friends
